Hi-Density bowls are smaller than usual for the weight of the bowl. i.e. a 2lb 8oz Hi-Density bowl is the same size as a regular 2lb 6oz bowl. Supplied in pairs. This enables the bowler to play with a heavier bowl than they may otherwise be able to handle and also makes it easier to control the length of delivery on faster running greens. 2 full bias crown green bowls fitted with coloured mounts. Supplied in pairs. Available in Black or Brown.

RX (Low-Density) Black

Low Density RX Crown Green Bowls
This model has all the modern features of the regular RX model while its lower density mimics the properties of original Lignum Vitae wooden bowls.
This low-density version is larger than usual for the weight of the bowl. i.e. a 2lb 8oz low density bowl is the same size as a regular 2lb 10oz bowl. The low-density material increases the length of run particularly on slow running greens. With a 2 full bias these crown green bowls are fitted with coloured mounts and supplied in pairs.

Made to the same high specifications as our standard jacks with the standard 2 Full bias, these jacks are great for general play and practice. Practice jacks cannot however be used in competition as they do not have the the official BCGBA stamp engraved that standard jacks have.

With a height of just 100mm, these scaled down crown green bowls open up the game to juniors and other players who have difficulty holding bowls. Where age and certain medical conditions are a factor the British Crown Green Bowls Association permit the use of these smaller bowls in competition.
Conforms to B.C.G.B.A Rule 1.5: A BOWL shall weigh not less than 907gms. (2lb), except that a player with medical evidence of a wasting disease of bone or muscle may be allowed a dispensation. Where age is a consideration, a player may use a bowl under the 907gms limit if the bowl has a minimum profile of 100 mm. A bowl must not have any device for altering or adjusting the bias.
